Hola! I’m Isabel, a proud Latina Registered Dietitian and the founder of Nourishing Narratives LLC.
At Nourishing Narratives, my mission is simple: to create content and share messages that empower individuals and communities to embrace weight-inclusive, culturally sensitive nutrition practices. I believe that health is deeply personal and should honor not only the science but also the traditions and cultural values that make us who we are.
As a writer, I craft articles and resources that make complicated health and nutrition concepts easily digestible. My work has been featured in many well-known outlets such as Well+Good, EatingWell, Health.com, and HipLatina. I specialize in creating content that challenges diet culture, promotes body diversity, and offers practical, evidence-based health advice that resonates with diverse audiences. Whether I’m writing about the health benefits of nopales, the best vitamin C supplements, or tips for navigating eating disorder recovery, my goal is always to make complex topics accessible and relatable. I also have experience reviewing articles for medical accuracy for Within Health.
In addition to writing, I’m also an experienced public speaker. I’ve had the privilege of presenting for organizations like the American Diabetes Association, the International Association for Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP), Diversify Dietetics, and the Weight Inclusive Network. My talks focus on promoting health at every size, body acceptance, and the importance of cultural humility in nutrition and wellness. I love engaging with audiences, fostering open conversations, and sharing insights that inspire meaningful change.
Whether you’re looking for engaging, research-backed content or a passionate speaker for your next event, I’m here to help elevate your message and make a lasting impact.
When I’m not working, I love going to my favorite local coffee shop and yoga studio, enjoying the great outdoors, obsessing over my current read, and spending time with my partner.
